Artist
Swervedriver are a British alternative-rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 by singer-guitarist Adam Franklin and guitarist Jimmy Hartridge. Their dense, melodic guitar sound became associated with shoegaze, while songs such as “Duel” and “Last Train to Satansville” helped establish the albums Raise and Mezcal Head. Swervedriver toured North America as an opening act for Soundgarden in 1992. After re-forming in 2008, the band played Coachella during its first run of reunion dates, then returned to headline touring around I Wasn’t Born to Lose You and Future Ruins, including shows in London.
