Sy Smith in Los Angeles

Sy Smith is an American singer, songwriter and producer, born in New York and raised in Washington, D.C. Her music draws on soul, R&B, funk and electronic production, and her independent catalogue includes the albums Psykosoul, The Syberspace Social, Sometimes a Rose Will Grow in Concrete and Until We Meet Again. Early in her career, Smith sang backing vocals on Whitney Houston’s My Love Is Your Love World Tour. She later appeared in the concert production Chris Botti in Boston and became a recurring vocalist in performances by The Foreign Exchange.
