Tarrus Riley in Dortmund

Tarrus Riley is a Jamaican singer, born in the Bronx in 1979 and raised in Jamaica, who performs roots reggae and lovers rock. The son of singer Jimmy Riley, he is known for songs including “She’s Royal,” “Stay with You,” “Just the Way You Are” and “Gimme Likkle One Drop,” as well as the albums Parables and Contagious. Tarrus Riley has performed at Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest and Rebel Salute. His international festival appearances have also included Rototom Sunsplash in Spain and Summerjam in Germany. His concerts feature a full reggae band. The Blak Soil Band has backed him on tour, and saxophonist Dean Fraser has served as his musical director.
