Artist
Tatsuya Ishii is a Japanese singer, songwriter and visual artist, born in Kitaibaraki in 1959. He is best known as the frontman of Kome Kome Club, formed in 1982, and as the voice of songs including “Roman Hikō” and “Kimi ga Iru Dake de.” His solo catalogue includes “River,” an ending theme for the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. In 1997, Tatsuya Ishii fronted Kome Kome Club at Tokyo Dome for the band’s farewell production, The Last Symposium. He subsequently toured under his own name, then rejoined the group in 2006 for the two-part Saikai Kangeki-sai reunion tour, Mae no Matsuri and Ato no Matsuri.
