The Breeders are an American alternative-rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio, in 1989 by Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly. Their catalog includes the albums Pod and Last Splash, while “Cannonball” is their best-known song. The Breeders opened for Nirvana on tour in 1992, then played the main stage at Lollapalooza in 1994. In 2013, the Last Splash lineup toured behind the LSXX reissue and performed the album in full. They later opened selected 2024 dates on Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour. The Breeders play most often in the United States and the United Kingdom.
