The Fighting Jamesons are an American Celtic punk band formed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their music sets traditional Irish melodies, fiddle and folk instrumentation against punk-rock guitars and drums. Their releases include the self-titled album The Fighting Jamesons and Every Day Above Ground, while their repertoire includes the traditional sea song “Drunken Sailor.” Live at the NorVa documents the band performing at the Norfolk venue that became central to its early live history. The Fighting Jamesons later took that full-band format to Irish and Celtic events, including ShamrockFest in Washington, D.C.
