The Guess Who in Fort Worth

The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg in 1965. Their best-known lineup featured singer and keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, and their catalogue includes “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” “No Time” and “Share the Land.” The albums Wheatfield Soul and American Woman established the group’s mix of pop hooks, blues rock and hard rock. In 1970, The Guess Who performed at the White House during Richard Nixon’s presidency. Bachman, Cummings, Jim Kale and Garry Peterson reunited for the Together Again tour in 1983, and another reunion produced the Running Back Thru Canada tour in 2000. In 2003, that lineup performed at Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto at Downsview Park.
