The Iguanas are an American roots-rock band formed in New Orleans in 1989. Led by multi-instrumentalists and singers Rod Hodges and Joe Cabral, they play rock and R&B informed by conjunto, cumbia and other Latin styles. Their catalog includes the albums The Iguanas, Nuevo Boogaloo and Super Ball, as well as songs such as “Para Donde Vas” and “Oye Isabel.” The Iguanas toured across the United States behind their early records in the 1990s and opened shows for Jimmy Buffett, whose Margaritaville label released their first albums. Their long live history in Louisiana also includes appearances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and French Quarter Festival.
