Artist
The New Mastersounds are a British jazz-funk quartet formed in Leeds in 1999. Eddie Roberts’s guitar, Joe Tatton’s Hammond organ, Pete Shand’s bass and Simon Allen’s drums drive their mostly instrumental funk, heard on albums including Keb Darge Presents The New Mastersounds, This Is What We Do and Renewable Energy. The New Mastersounds documented their club performances on Live at La Cova and Live in San Francisco, then returned to the format for Live at the Belly Up, recorded in Solana Beach. Their festival appearances have included Jam Cruise and High Sierra Music Festival.
