The Protomen in Dallas

The Protomen are an American rock band formed in Nashville in 2003. They play theatrical progressive and hard rock, telling a dystopian story inspired by the Mega Man games. The concept began with the album The Protomen and continued on Act II: The Father of Death, which includes “Light Up the Night”; “The Will of One” is another central song in the band’s catalogue. The Protomen brought their staged rock opera to Bonnaroo, then returned to gaming audiences through performances at MAGFest. They have also toured clubs and theatres in North America and Europe, and they have performed the rock opera at PAX.
