The Raveonettes & Dizzy Mizz Lizzy in Horsens

The Raveonettes are a Danish rock duo formed in Copenhagen in 2001 by Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo. They play noise pop and garage rock shaped by close vocal harmonies, distorted guitars and compact pop songwriting. Their best-known releases include Whip It On, Chain Gang of Love and Pretty in Black, and songs such as “Attack of the Ghost Riders,” “That Great Love Sound” and “Love in a Trashcan.” At SPOT Festival in Aarhus in 2002, their set caught the attention of Rolling Stone editor David Fricke; an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York followed later that year. They later performed at Coachella and played Denmark’s Roskilde Festival.

Dizzy Mizz Lizzy are a Danish rock trio formed in Copenhagen in 1988. Their guitar-heavy alternative rock became closely associated with the albums Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Rotator, as well as songs including “Silverflame,” “Waterline” and “Love Is a Loser’s Game.” In 2009, the original lineup reunited for concerts at K.B. Hallen. Those shows led to a Danish tour and a 2010 appearance at Roskilde Festival. The three-piece stage lineup comprises drummer Søren Friis, bassist Martin Nielsen and singer-guitarist Tim Christensen.
