The Real McKenzies in Freiburg im Breisgau

The Real McKenzies are a Canadian Celtic punk band formed in Vancouver in 1992 by singer Paul McKenzie. Their music sets fast punk rock around Scottish melodies, bagpipes and traditional material. Albums including Clash of the Tartans, Oot & Aboot, 10,000 Shots and Off the Leash produced songs such as “Chip,” “The Tempest” and “Nessie.” The Real McKenzies have spent much of their history touring clubs and festivals across Canada, the United States and Europe, including the Vans Warped Tour. They perform as a full electric punk band with bagpipes, a lineup also heard at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas and Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.
