Artist
The Sadies are a Canadian band formed in Toronto in 1994 by brothers Dallas and Travis Good, bassist Sean Dean and drummer Mike Belitsky. They play alt-country and roots rock informed by surf guitar, psychedelia and garage rock; key albums include Favourite Colours, New Seasons, Northern Passages and Colder Streams. The group carried on after Dallas Good died in 2022. Concerts backing Neko Case supplied the live material for The Tigers Have Spoken. In 2006, the double album In Concert Volume One documented two nights at Lee’s Palace, featuring guests including Jon Langford and Garth Hudson. The Sadies later opened the Canadian dates of Neil Young and Promise of the Real’s 2015 Rebel Content Tour.
