The Toasters in London

The Toasters are an American ska band formed in New York City in 1981 by guitarist and singer Robert “Bucket” Hingley. Their music draws on two tone, reggae, rocksteady and punk, and their best-known recordings include the albums Skaboom!, Thrill Me Up and Dub 56, as well as the songs “Two-Tone Army” and “Don’t Let the Bastards Grind You Down.” The band played New York clubs including CBGB during its early years. The Toasters later toured extensively through North America and Europe, performing in clubs and at ska festivals and appearing on the Warped Tour.
