Artist
The Troops of Doom are a Brazilian death-thrash metal band formed in Belo Horizonte in 2020 by guitarist Jairo Guedz, a member of Sepultura’s early lineup. The band takes its name from the Sepultura song “Troops of Doom” and has released the EPs The Rise of Heresy and The Absence of Light, followed by the albums Antichrist Reborn and A Mass to the Grotesque. The Troops of Doom developed into a touring band after its first studio releases, taking this material to metal clubs and festivals. Its festival appearances have included Wacken Open Air, and the group performs as a full electric band led by Jairo Guedz.
