EABS in Warsaw

EABS is a Polish jazz ensemble formed in Wrocław by keyboardist and composer Marek Pędziwiatr. Its rhythm-heavy instrumental music draws on hip-hop and electronic production. The group’s debut album, Repetitions (Letters to Krzysztof Komeda), revisited compositions by Krzysztof Komeda; later projects include Slavic Spirits and the Sun Ra reinterpretation Discipline of Sun Ra. In 2019, EABS recorded a KEXP session at OFF Festival in Katowice, presenting the material through keyboards, horns, bass and drums. The ensemble has also brought that full-band format to London club rooms, including the Jazz Cafe.
