The Weeknd is the stage name of Abel Tesfaye, a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer born in Toronto in 1990. After releasing three mixtapes in 2011, beginning with House of Balloons, he recorded albums including Beauty Behind the Madness, Starboy and After Hours. His signature songs include “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” “Starboy” and “Blinding Lights.” The Kiss Land Fall Tour took him through theatres and arenas in 2013, and the Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour moved into larger arenas in 2017. In 2022 he shifted to stadiums for the After Hours til Dawn Tour; a performance in Inglewood that year became the concert film The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium. London and Paris have hosted stadium dates on his European itineraries. Latin American legs have also included Mexico City and São Paulo.

Playboi Carti is an American rapper born in Atlanta in 1995, known for sparse trap production, unconventional vocal delivery and a punk-influenced approach to rap. His self-titled mixtape introduced “Magnolia” and “wokeuplikethis*,” while the albums Die Lit and Whole Lotta Red produced tracks including “Shoota” and “Sky.” The 2018 Neon Tour supported Die Lit with a run of North American venues. He followed Whole Lotta Red with the 2021 King Vamp Tour, which included arena dates, then performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago and headlined editions of Rolling Loud.
