The Word Alive in Philadelphia

The Word Alive is an American metalcore band formed in Phoenix in 2008 and fronted by vocalist Telle Smith. The group established its sound on the albums Deceiver and Life Cycles, with songs including “Life Cycles” and “Trapped,” and later expanded its use of electronics and melodic vocals on Dark Matter and Violent Noise. The band played Vans Warped Tour in 2011 as part of its early touring schedule. Five years later, it led the North American Dark Matter Tour, joined by Fit for a King and Out Came the Wolves.
