Thee Sinseers & The Altons in Eugene

Thee Sinseers are an American soul group from East Los Angeles led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Joey Quiñones. Their music draws on Chicano soul, R&B and the sweet-soul tradition; the filmed performance of “Seems Like,” the single “What’s His Name” and the album Sinseerly Yours are central to their catalogue. The filmed Live at the Recordium sessions documented their full-band arrangements, built around Quiñones’s lead vocals, backing harmonies and horns. They later carried that ensemble format into clubs and theatres, including joint tour dates with fellow Los Angeles group The Altons.

The Altons are an American band from Los Angeles that plays Chicano soul, psychedelic rock and rhythm and blues. Singers Adriana Flores and Bryan Ponce lead the group’s vocal interplay, heard on recordings including “Over and Over,” “When You Go” and the album Heartache in Room 14. The Altons have toured North America as support for Thee Sacred Souls, performing their two-vocalist, full-band set in clubs and theatres. They have also opened concerts for Black Pumas.
