Thou in Birmingham

Thou is an American metal band formed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2005. They play sludge and doom metal marked by harsh vocals, low-tuned guitars and passages of drone, and are known for albums including Heathen, Magus and Umbilical. In 2019, Thou served as an artist in residence at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, presenting several distinct sets across the event. The residency also included a festival-commissioned performance with Emma Ruth Rundle, beginning the collaboration that produced May Our Chambers Be Full.
