Todd Rundgren in St Louis

Todd Rundgren is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, in 1948. After fronting Nazz, he built a solo catalogue spanning pop, rock and progressive art rock, including the album Something/Anything? and the songs “Hello It’s Me,” “I Saw the Light” and “Bang the Drum All Day.” He also led the progressive-rock band Utopia. Todd Rundgren toured with Utopia throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, then reunited the group for a North American tour in 2018. He joined the inaugural Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band tour in 1989 and returned for later editions. In 2009, he mounted a tour built around a complete performance of A Wizard, a True Star. The 1978 live album Back to the Bars draws partly on performances at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Other recordings came from the Bottom Line in New York, documenting Todd Rundgren in a club setting.
