Melvins in Seattle

Melvins are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington, by guitarist and vocalist Buzz Osborne, bassist Matt Lukin and drummer Mike Dillard. Their music includes sludge metal, punk, noise rock and experimental rock, and they are known for albums such as Bullhead, Houdini and Stoner Witch. Dale Crover joined early in the band’s history and became its long-standing drummer. In 2012, the Melvins Lite lineup of Osborne, Crover and Trevor Dunn played 51 shows in 51 days, performing in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Melvins toured North America with Napalm Death on the Savage Imperial Death March in 2016, then marked four decades as a band with a 40th-anniversary tour in 2023. They have repeatedly played Seattle and Los Angeles and have also performed in Tokyo on tours of Japan.
