Tommy Stinson in Fort Wayne

Tommy Stinson is an American rock musician and songwriter, born in Minneapolis in 1966. He is best known as the bassist for The Replacements, appearing on albums including Let It Be, Tim and Pleased to Meet Me, and later played bass in Guns N’ Roses. His own catalogue includes the solo records Village Gorilla Head and One Man Mutiny, as well as work with Bash & Pop. In 1989, The Replacements opened dates on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Full Moon Fever tour. After joining Guns N’ Roses, Stinson performed at Rock in Rio in 2001 and spent years in the band’s touring lineup, including the Chinese Democracy Tour. He later took part in The Replacements’ reunion, which included Riot Fest performances in Toronto, Chicago and Denver in 2013.
