Trout Fishing in America in Decatur

Trout Fishing in America is an American folk act founded in Houston in 1979 and long established as the duo of Ezra Idlet and Keith Grimwood. They write humorous and thoughtful songs for both children and adults, including “My Hair Had a Party Last Night” and “18 Wheels on a Big Rig,” and are known for albums such as Big Trouble and My World. Kerrville Folk Festival has hosted Trout Fishing in America repeatedly during a concert career built around distinct family and adult programs. Ezra Idlet performs on guitar and Keith Grimwood on bass, the two-person format they have also brought to family programming at the Kennedy Center.
