TWRP in Toronto

TWRP is a Canadian funk and synth-rock band formed in Halifax in 2007. The group plays synth-heavy funk, disco and rock behind costumed alter egos. Its catalogue includes “Starlight Brigade” featuring Dan Avidan, “The Hit” featuring Ninja Sex Party, and the albums Together Through Time and Over the Top. In 2015, TWRP began serving as Ninja Sex Party’s live backing band and subsequently joined the comedy-rock duo on repeated concert tours. TWRP then mounted its own headline runs, including the Together Through Time Tour and, later, the Digital Nightmare Tour, in clubs and theatres. The show is performed as a four-piece band: Doctor Sung handles vocals and keyboards, Commander Meouch plays bass, Lord Phobos plays guitar, and Havve Hogan plays drums. All four musicians appear in masks and remain in character onstage. TWRP have played repeated headline dates in Canada and the United States. They have also performed in the United Kingdom.
