Ugly Kid Joe in Lakewood

Ugly Kid Joe is an American hard-rock band formed in Isla Vista, California, in 1989. Their music draws on alternative metal and funk metal, and they are best known for “Everything About You,” their version of Harry Chapin’s “Cats in the Cradle,” the EP As Ugly as They Wanna Be and the album America’s Least Wanted. The band supported Ozzy Osbourne on the No More Tours tour in the early 1990s and performed at Woodstock ’94. After reuniting in 2010, Ugly Kid Joe returned to major European festivals, including Download Festival in 2012.

Wheatus are an American alternative rock and power-pop band formed in Northport, New York, in 1995 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Brendan B. Brown. Their self-titled debut album produced their best-known song, “Teenage Dirtbag,” as well as a cover of Erasure’s “A Little Respect.” Wheatus played the Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2001 as “Teenage Dirtbag” found a wide audience, then returned to Britain for further club and theatre tours. In 2023, the Dirtbags Across America tour took the band back through clubs across the United States.
