Uriah Heep & Mother's Finest in Schwetzingen

Uriah Heep are a British rock band formed in London in 1969. Their hard rock is marked by Hammond organ, heavy guitar riffs and layered vocal harmonies, heard on albums including Demons and Wizards and The Magician’s Birthday. Their best-known songs include “Easy Livin’,” “Lady in Black” and “July Morning.” In 1973, Uriah Heep recorded the double album Uriah Heep Live at Birmingham Town Hall. In December 1987, they played a series of concerts at Moscow’s Olympic Stadium, performances documented on the album Live in Moscow.

Mother's Finest is an American funk-rock band formed in Atlanta in 1970 by vocalists Joyce Kennedy and Glenn Murdock. The group plays hard rock rooted in funk and soul, and is known for the album Another Mother Further and songs including “Baby Love,” “Piece of the Rock” and “Love Changes.” In 1978, the band performed at Grugahalle in Essen for the German television series Rockpalast, creating a widely circulated document of its early stage work. Mother's Finest returned to the series in 2003 for an open-air concert at Museumsplatz in Bonn.
