Raphael Saadiq is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, born in Oakland in 1966. He first became known as the singer and bassist of Tony! Toni! Toné!, the group behind “Feels Good” and “Anniversary,” and later formed Lucy Pearl. His solo work includes the albums Instant Vintage, The Way I See It, Stone Rollin’ and Jimmy Lee. Raphael Saadiq toured theatres and festivals behind Stone Rollin’ on the Stone Rollin’ Tour, leading a full band while moving between guitar, bass and vocals. He later took Jimmy Lee on the road before returning to the music of his first group. The 2023 Raphael Saadiq Revisits Tony! Toni! Toné!: Just Me and You Tour brought him back onstage with D’Wayne Wiggins and Timothy Christian Riley.
Ari Lennox is an American R&B and neo-soul singer-songwriter, born in Washington, D.C., in 1991. A member of J. Cole’s Dreamville label, she released her debut album, Shea Butter Baby, in 2019 and followed it with age/sex/location. Her best-known songs include “Shea Butter Baby,” recorded with J. Cole, and “Pressure.” She took the Shea Butter Baby Tour across North America in 2019 and opened selected dates for Lizzo on the Cuz I Love You Too Tour that year. In 2023, she returned to theatres across North America and Europe for the Age/Sex/Location Tour.
