Víctor Manuelle & Jerry Rivera in Mexico City

Víctor Manuelle is a Puerto Rican-American salsa singer, born in the Bronx in 1968 and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Known as El Sonero de la Juventud, he built his repertoire around romantic salsa and improvisational singing; “Tengo Ganas,” “Si Tú Me Besas” and “Que Suenen los Tambores” are among his signature songs. In 2005 he performed at the La Salsa Vive concert at Madison Square Garden, joining a large cast of salsa singers and orchestras. In 2018 he marked 25 years of recording with the 25/7 anniversary concert at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.

Jerry Rivera is a Puerto Rican salsa singer, born in Humacao in 1973. He became known in the early 1990s through the albums Cuenta Conmigo and Cara de Niño, and songs including “Amores Como el Nuestro,” “Qué Hay de Malo” and “Cara de Niño.” Rivera’s major concert appearances have included Madison Square Garden in New York. In 2012, he performed in Sergio George’s Salsa Giants concert at the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival; the performance was released as the live project Salsa Giants.
