Vitor Ramil in Criciúma

Vitor Ramil is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, composer and writer born in Pelotas in 1962. His work draws on the milonga traditions of Rio Grande do Sul and the Río de la Plata, an approach he articulated through his “estética do frio” concept and the album Ramilonga: A Estética do Frio. His best-known works include “Estrela, Estrela,” “Ramilonga” and the albums Délibáb and Campos Neutrais. Ramil performed Satolep Sambatown with percussionist Marcos Suzano, carrying their guitar-and-percussion collaboration into theatres. He later toured Délibáb with Argentine guitarist Carlos Moscardini, presenting milonga settings of poems by Jorge Luis Borges and gaúcho poet João da Cunha Vargas.
