Mandolin Orange in Cincinnati

Mandolin Orange is the former name of Watchhouse, an American folk duo formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, by Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz in 2009. Their acoustic folk and Americana are built around close vocal harmonies, mandolin, guitar and violin. Albums including Such Jubilee, Blindfaller and Tides of a Teardrop produced songs such as “Wildfire,” “Golden Embers” and “Old Ties and Companions.” Mandolin Orange performed at Newport Folk Festival as the duo’s audience expanded beyond roots-music clubs. They later headlined the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and brought their touring band to the open-air Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver.
