Weird Nightmare is the Canadian indie-rock project of Alex Edkins, the guitarist and singer of Toronto noise-rock trio METZ. Its self-titled debut album appeared on Sub Pop in 2022, pairing garage-rock distortion with compact power-pop songs including “Searching for You” and “Lusitania.” In 2022, Weird Nightmare took the debut album into clubs across the UK, continental Europe and North America. The North American run included support dates for Archers of Loaf.
