Wilco in Glasgow

Wilco is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1994 around singer-songwriter Jeff Tweedy after Uncle Tupelo broke up. The band plays alternative country and indie rock, and its central albums include Being There, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born. “Jesus, Etc.,” “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart” and “Impossible Germany” are among its best-known songs. Four concerts at the Vic Theatre in 2005 became the live album Kicking Television. Three years later, Wilco staged a five-night residency at the Riviera Theatre and worked through songs from across its catalogue. On The Whole Love tour, the six-piece band played theatres and festivals following the album’s 2011 release. The band founded Solid Sound at MASS MoCA in North Adams and later created Sky Blue Sky, a recurring destination festival in Riviera Maya.
