Artists
Wynonna Judd is an American country singer born in Ashland, Kentucky, in 1964. She first became known in the 1980s as one half of The Judds, the duo she formed with her mother, Naomi Judd, recording songs including “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Why Not Me” and “Love Can Build a Bridge.” Her self-titled solo debut followed in 1992 and included “She Is His Only Need,” “I Saw the Light” and “No One Else on Earth.” The duo’s 1991 Farewell Tour preceded a long period in which Wynonna Judd performed primarily as a solo artist. She reunited with her mother for later concert runs and for the Girls Night Out residency at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas in 2015. After Naomi Judd’s death in 2022, she carried on with The Final Tour, joined at different shows by country singers including Brandi Carlile, Martina McBride and Ashley McBryde. The later Back to Wy Tour centered its set on her first two solo albums.
Melissa Etheridge is an American rock singer-songwriter, born in 1961 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Her self-titled 1988 debut introduced “Bring Me Some Water,” while the album Yes I Am produced two of her best-known songs, “Come to My Window” and “I’m the Only One.” At Woodstock ’94, she performed with her band during the festival’s second day. She later revisited a central album in her catalogue on the Yes I Am 25th Anniversary Tour, then brought her autobiographical solo show Melissa Etheridge: My Window – A Journey Through Life to Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre.
