Xu Song in Hangzhou

Xu Song is a Chinese singer-songwriter and producer, born in Hefei in 1986. He writes Mandopop that often draws on classical Chinese imagery, electronic pop and R&B. After first attracting attention through songs released online, he issued the self-produced album Custom (自定义); later albums include Seeking Fog Enlightenment (寻雾启示) and Socera (苏格拉没有底). “Why Not” (有何不可), “Rain on Qingming” (清明雨上) and “Tacky or Refined” (雅俗共赏) are among his best-known songs. In 2017, Xu Song took the Youth Evening Paper (青年晚报) concert tour to cities across China. He followed it with the Treasure Hunt (寻宝游戏) tour in 2019, moving his catalogue into arena settings, and launched the Breath of the Wild (呼吸之野) tour in 2024.
