Yehuda Poliker & Shalom Hanoch in Jerusalem

Yehuda Poliker is an Israeli singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Kiryat Haim in 1950. He first recorded as the frontman of the rock band Benzene, whose songs include “Yom Shishi,” before establishing a solo catalogue spanning rock, pop and music rooted in his Greek family heritage. His key albums include Einayim Sheli and Ashes and Dust, made with lyricist Yaakov Gilad and shaped by the experiences of children of Holocaust survivors. At Caesarea Amphitheater, Yehuda Poliker has performed this catalogue with a full band, moving between Benzene material, songs from Ashes and Dust and his Greek-language repertoire. His concert history also includes major indoor appearances at Heichal HaTarbut in Tel Aviv and open-air performances at the Sultan’s Pool in Jerusalem.

Shalom Hanoch is an Israeli rock singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in 1946 at Kibbutz Mishmarot. He performed in The High Windows and became a central collaborator of Arik Einstein on the albums “Shablool” and “Plastelina.” His solo catalog includes “Adam Betoch Atzmo,” “Hatuna Levana” and “Mehakim LeMashiach,” as well as songs such as “Maya” and “Mehakim LeMashiach.” The 1979 joint tour by Shalom Hanoch and Arik Einstein was documented on a live album. In the 2000s, he and pianist Moshe Levi developed “Yetziah,” an intimate guitar-and-piano concert that was also recorded for a live release. He has also presented “Hayot Layla” as a recurring late-night full-band show at the Barby Club in Tel Aviv.
