Yonder Mountain String Band in Greenleaf

Yonder Mountain String Band is an American progressive-bluegrass and jam band formed in 1998 in Nederland, Colorado. Their music centers on banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass, opening traditional string-band arrangements to extended improvisation. The debut album Elevation includes “Half Moon Rising” and “40 Miles from Denver,” both long-standing parts of the band’s repertoire. Beginning in 2002, Yonder Mountain String Band hosted the Northwest String Summit at Horning’s Hideout in Oregon, returning until the festival’s final edition in 2022. Their concert history also includes recurring appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
