Yoni Rechter in Tel Aviv

Yoni Rechter is an Israeli composer, pianist and singer-songwriter, born in Tel Aviv in 1951. His writing draws on rock, pop and jazz harmony, and he first became widely known as the keyboardist for Kaveret. His solo album Kavanot and his composition “Atur Mitzchech,” recorded by Arik Einstein, are central works in his catalogue. In 1974, Yoni Rechter appeared with Kaveret at the Eurovision Song Contest. He later returned for the group’s reunion concerts in 1984 and 1990, followed by further reunions that culminated in the band’s 2013 farewell performances at Hayarkon Park. His own concerts feature him at the piano as both singer and composer, supported by musicians performing his songs and arrangements. He has also presented his work with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
