Young the Giant is an American indie-rock band formed in Irvine, California, in 2004 under the name the Jakes; it adopted its current name in 2009. The band’s self-titled debut produced “My Body,” “Cough Syrup” and “Apartment,” while later albums include Mind over Matter, Home of the Strange, Mirror Master and American Bollywood. The band toured North America with Incubus in 2011, then brought Vance Joy on dates during the Mind over Matter Tour in 2014. The Mirror Master Tour followed in 2019 with Sure Sure, and Young the Giant later co-headlined a 2023 summer tour with Milky Chance.
