Zakkum in Balıkesir

Zakkum is a Turkish rock band formed in Ankara in 1999 under the name Raindog; it adopted its present name in 2004. Its catalogue includes the albums Zehr-i Zakkum and 13, as well as songs such as “Anason” and “Ben Ne Yangınlar Gördüm.” Manhattan and Saklıkent were among the clubs where the musicians developed their repertoire before the 2004 name change. After becoming Zakkum, the band took its Turkish-language material to concerts and festivals across Turkey.
