About 8 Kalacas
8 Kalacas is a Mexican-American skacore band formed in Orange County, California, in 2003. The group plays Spanish-language ska-punk with hardcore weight and a prominent horn section; its catalog includes the albums El Classico and Fronteras, as well as songs such as “Pudrete” and “Mutante.”
At Hellfest in 2022, 8 Kalacas performed material from Fronteras in its full-band format, built around guitars, bass, drums, multiple vocalists and brass. Later that summer, the group brought the same setup to Wacken Open Air.
