AFI in Tempe

AFI are an American rock band formed in 1991 in Ukiah, California. Their early records were rooted in hardcore punk, while later albums incorporated alternative and gothic rock. They are known for albums including Sing the Sorrow and Decemberunderground, and songs such as “Girl’s Not Grey” and “Miss Murder.” In 2006, AFI filmed the concert released as I Heard a Voice at Long Beach Arena. They opened for Green Day on dates of the 21st Century Breakdown World Tour in 2010, then mounted the Blood Tour in 2017 and the Bodies Tour in 2022. AFI have also appeared on multiple editions of the Vans Warped Tour and performed at both Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.

Choir Boy is an American synth-pop and dream-pop band formed in Salt Lake City in 2014 by singer Adam Klopp. The group is known for bright synthesizers, post-punk guitar and Klopp’s high, expressive voice, particularly on the albums Passive with Desire and Gathering Swans and the songs “Complainer” and “Toxic Eye.” Choir Boy toured North America with Cold Cave and later performed in Europe, including an appearance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg.
