Alesana is an American post-hardcore band formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2004. Its music pairs screamed and clean vocals with melodic guitar lines, and the band is known for songs including “Apology” and “Ambrosia.” Key releases include On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax and the literary concept albums The Emptiness, A Place Where the Sun Is Silent and Confessions. Alesana played the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, then returned to the event in 2010 as The Emptiness anchored its headlining shows. The band later revisited its debut album in full during the Ten Frail Years of Vanity and Wax anniversary tour.
