Alewya is a British singer, songwriter and producer of Ethiopian heritage based in London. Her music draws on electronic pop, R&B, hip-hop and dub; she introduced that sound on the single “Sweating” and developed it further on the EP Panther in Mode. Alewya supported Little Simz on the Sometimes I Might Be Introvert tour, bringing her own material to audiences around the UK. In 2022, she took her live set beyond her home city for a performance at Glastonbury Festival.
