About Alex the Astronaut
Alex the Astronaut is the recording name of Australian singer-songwriter Alex Lynn, a Sydney-born indie-folk artist known for direct, narrative-led songs. The EPs To Whom It May Concern and See You Soon introduced tracks including “Already Home” and “Not Worth Hiding”; she later released the albums The Theory of Absolutely Nothing and How to Grow a Sunflower Underwater.
She opened for Midnight Oil on dates of the 2017 Great Circle tour and went on to play Splendour in the Grass. Headline club and theatre dates around her first two albums followed festival appearances that included Glastonbury Festival.
