About Ali Project
ALI PROJECT is a Japanese duo built around vocalist and lyricist Arika Takarano and composer-arranger Mikiya Katakura. After an independent debut under the name Ari Project, they adopted their present name for the 1992 single “Koi-se yo Otome.” Their ornate gothic pop and rock became closely associated with anime through songs including “Kinjirareta Asobi” and “Seishoujo Ryouiki” for Rozen Maiden, and “Yuukyou Seishunka” for Code Geass.
ALI PROJECT performed at Animelo Summer Live 2007 at Nippon Budokan, presenting material from their anime catalogue in one of Japan’s major franchise concerts. The duo returned to the event the following year when it moved to Saitama Super Arena.
