About amazarashi
amazarashi is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Aomori in 2007 around singer-songwriter Hiromu Akita. The band is known for stark, literary songs including “Kisetsu wa Tsugitsugi Shindeiku,” used in Tokyo Ghoul √A, and “Sora ni Utaeba,” an opening theme for My Hero Academia.
In 2016, amazarashi staged the 360-degree concert “Kyomubyo” at Makuhari Messe, placing the performance at the centre of an audiovisual presentation built around projected lyrics and animation. Their first Nippon Budokan concert followed in 2018 under the title “Roudoku Enso Jikken Kukan: Shin Gengo Chitsujo,” combining songs and narrated text inside Nippon Budokan.
