About Antònia Font
Antònia Font are a Spanish band formed in Mallorca in 1997, known for Catalan-language pop written by guitarist Joan Miquel Oliver and sung by Pau Debon. Albums including Alegria, Taxi and Batiscafo Katiuscas, together with songs such as “Wa Yeah!” and “Calgary 88,” established their playful mix of everyday detail and science-fiction imagery.
The band ended its original run with farewell concerts at Teatre Principal in Palma in 2013. After announcing their reunion in 2021, they returned to the stage at Primavera Sound in Barcelona in 2022 and later presented their comeback album Un minut estroboscòpica at Palau Sant Jordi.
