Armand Van Helden & Prunk in Birmingham

Armand Van Helden is an American DJ and producer, born in Boston in 1970, whose house music helped shape club playlists in the 1990s and 2000s. He is known for “You Don’t Know Me,” “My My My” and his remix of Tori Amos’s “Professional Widow,” as well as the album 2 Future 4 U. He also records with A-Trak as Duck Sauce, the duo behind “Barbra Streisand.” Armand Van Helden began DJing in Boston before becoming part of New York’s club scene in the 1990s. His performances remained centred on DJ sets as he moved onto major dance-festival stages, including Glastonbury Festival and Creamfields.

Prunk is a Dutch DJ and producer based in Amsterdam whose music sits between deep house, minimal house and UK garage. He founded the PIV label and released the album Le Funk, establishing both his own catalogue and a platform for club-focused house music. Prunk has played PIV showcases at Cova Santa in Ibiza and fabric in London as the label developed its own international event series. He also performs at PIV Festival in the Netherlands and at PIV events held around Miami Music Week.
