Authority Zero in Grand Rapids

Authority Zero is an American punk rock band formed in Mesa, Arizona, in 1994 and led by vocalist Jason DeVore. Its fast, melodic punk draws on ska and reggae rhythms. The debut album A Passage in Time introduced songs including “One More Minute” and “Over Seasons,” while “Revolution” and the album Andiamo became further staples of the band’s catalog. Authority Zero appeared on the Vans Warped Tour repeatedly during the festival’s long run and built much of its live history through club tours in the United States and Europe. The band also documented an acoustic performance on the live release Rhythm and Booze, adapting its punk songs to the record’s smaller-room setting.
